My first taste of secretarial work was as an Office Assistant in the Chemistry Department, University of Canterbury, in the early 1980s. I have spent the intervening years in secretarial, administration and PA positions mainly in the health/research and education sectors learning the many new skills that come with today’s office environment. Office life has come along in huge “bytes”. Certainly no going back to carbon paper, Gestetner machines and Twink. I am delighted to be back on campus within a supportive learning environment and look forward to being part of the challenges and successes of HSAC.
