Background

Dan is a Health Outcomes Analyst at Health Technology Analysts and Health Services Assessment Collaboration (HSAC). Whilst working for Health Technology Analysts, Dan has had experience conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses, writing health technology assessment reports and undertaking reimbursement submissions for pharmaceuticals and medical devices to be listed on the PBS and MBS.   

Dan undertook a double degree at the University of Western Australia in Perth studying health science and commerce. Following his health science degree, he completed his honours in public health, examining a range of patient outcomes following surgical intervention for obesity. Dan also has experience in environmental health having worked for the Environmental Health Directorate within the Western Australian Department of Health.

Dan is a member of the Australian Health Economics Society (AHES) and the Australian Association for Regulatory and Clinical Scientists (ARCS).
 

Research Interests

Dan has an interest in interventions for obesity, in particular, the role of physical activity. He is also interested in economic evaluation in health and is looking to undertake post-graduate qualifications in health economics.
